Hermon Town Council Meeting Recap

On Thursday, August 22nd, the Hermon Town Council held its third meeting of the 2024-2025 fiscal year. Present Terry Hamm-Morris, Joshua Berry, Christopher Gray, Ronald Murphy, Richard Cyr, John Snyer III., and Derek Wood


Meeting Highlights

Garbage Pick-up Goes Automated

Hermon Casella Hermon Trash Pickup

Curbside pickup will be changing to side pickup system on October 16, 2024.

  • The town will be staying with Casella.

  • Pickup days will remain Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.

  • Place containers at the curb by 7:00 am.

  • One 96 gallon bin will be delived to your home at no cost.

  • An additional bin is available for $260 annually.

  • Trash containers are intended for bagged trash only, not construction debris.

  • More informaiton will be coming in the mail.


Charter Changes Voted On

There are seven charter changes that will be on the November 5th, 2024, ballot. You can review changes starting on page 9 of the Agenda Packet.

Hermon School Committee James Stubbs

Conservative James Stubbs is running to fill the vacant Hermon School Committee seat. He has two kids attending the Hermon Schools. James has chosen to run without Hermon GOP support since his wife is the current vice chair, and he does not want a perceived conflict.
